I finally had a chance to watch the defensive play...wow! It's been amazing watching him grow into the player he's becoming. As silly as this sounds, there's still probably another level as he goes along the aging curve. -

Players that can be DFA (in order, from quickest to trying to hold on to them longer)... 1. David Benuelos 2. Jonathan Heasley 3. Yohan Ramirez 4.Kaleb Ort 5. Toss up after that and you'd prefer not having to expose the other guys to waivers. Although some long time names in the organization do become vulnerable at this point in the list. -
Because the game ends when the out is made on the basepath. Never end a game with an out on the basepath. Give your team a chance to hit. -
Prior to today’s game, the advanced metrics have Gunnar at neutral or slightly negative right now: -2 Rdrs (which feeds dWAR), -1 Rtot, -0.1 UZR, 0 OAA. He does have 3 errors, which is a fairly high number after 24 games, though not outrageous. It’s still early in the year and he’s just a tad In negative territory, nothing to be concerned about. -
Actually Jackson and I are DM'ing right now. After we're done messaging, he's going to go straight to the cage and work on my suggestions about how to time his leg kick better. Talented kid, just needs some guidance. -
