It's got to be Ortiz...he seems like such an arrogant self absorbed ***** it blows my mind that he has any kind of positive reputation outside of the DH role. He smashes the phone box at another teams stadium and then cries that HE has been disrespected...he has landed on my "I do not like you and never will" list.

The fact that he is such a good hitter gets under my skin even more.

Edit- I don't know why that word was blocked, anyways, it's another word for jerk and it doesn't rhyme with itch.

About 60 percent of their fans.

And this is coming from someone whose late Uncle Dominick (1928-2013) was a lifelong Red Sox fan from 1935 until the day he died.

Uncle Dominick was a GREAT baseball fan, a very good man, and didn't have an ounce of obnoxiousness in his blood in regard to his Red Sox fandom.

To be fair, a good chunk of that obnoxious fan base probably couldn't name a player from pre-2004.

Pedroia.

As a baseball fan, I love the guy. As an Oriole fan, I can't stand to see him come to the plate. I always expect to see him standing on first or second at the end of his AB every time up no matter who he's facing. Infuriating. Because of him I never take a lead against the Red Sox for granted.

I took that into consideration when I used 60 percent as my estimate.

Also, when I visited Fenway Park twice in 1993, the Orioles were contending for the division title, while the Red Sox were having a bad year. They (the Red Sox fans) weren't very hospitable.

When I went there in September of 2009, I was treated better.

I suspect that because we were in the process of finishing out our 12th consecutive losing season in 2009, that "better treatment" was because I was looked upon as a "loveable loser" ...... whereas in 1993, that was not the case.

In my paranoid mind, that smells of phoniness.
