He wanted everyone to pitch today, keep in mind nobody has pitched since at least Sunday. Not a normal situation. Nobody pitched a lot in Game 1, I bet Meek is sent down after this game.

First of all, this is just Buck's way. He's constantly matching up which results in using more pitchers than needed -- at times.

Nobody pitched a lot in game 1 but would we bring back Britton in game 2? I'd think we'd want to avoid it. This isn't spring training. We had game #1 pretty well in hand and should have allowed ourselves the option of pulling Tilman early if he didn't have it -- and he didn't -- and have other quality arms ready.

it's really not even a debate -- we're short-handed in game 2 and there's no reason for it.

I was looking for stats on double headers (i.e. percentage of splits vs. sweeps) can came across an interesting little thing.

There have been a 3 recorded triple headers. One involved the Orioles against the Louisville Colonels on September 7, 1896. Baltimore won all three.

BTW, if anyone knows the stats on double headers let me know.

I was surprised he pulled Britton after only 4 batters in the first game, that hook seemed quick.

Especially with a guy who's probably more accustomed to multiple innings rather than back to back games or in this case -- 2 times in a night.
