Don’t sleep on Willems. In his age 20 season, as a C, he hit 17 HR and put up a .784 OPS across A+ and AA. Not too shabby. He got that big bonus, and the feeling was that we settled on him and got left holding the bad because I think McLean and another underclassmen didn’t sign. Willems also struggled at first. Also, he’s a pudgy dude. I prefer stocky. All that is the past though. He’s a pretty solid prospect as a LH C. Feels underrated. Especially after the graduations and trades. -
No that’s not what I’m saying. Adley at C, Mountcastle at 1B, and Kjerstad at DH. Obviously Hyde will mix it up if the postseason lasts a while, but that would be my default lineup. Adley can DH against LHP. But that’s a whole other problem. Not enough good RH bats. -

McCann shouldn’t see the field in the postseason. He has a 638 OPs vs lefties this year and hasn’t hit them well for a while. -

This is my point. Have Mounty or O’Hearn both hit so well that they are just plays at 1B and DH? I think not. I’d rather roll with the chemistry that Burnes and McCann have, and Adley DH. Adley hits better as a DH. We’ll see what happens. Our offense has been struggling. I say let’s roll with run prevention and McCann. Let Burnes throw to his guy. -
There’s no earned the right in the playoffs. He earned the right to get himself together at the end of the season. He hasn’t done that (.535 OPS the last 30 games). You play the guys who give you the best chance to win (Mounty at 1B and Kjerstad at DH)
