Hard to say. He might finish out the year at DH but if he does he will miss the first couple of months of his contract season.

Or he could get it done now and be 100% for ST.

If I had to guess, I would go with surgery now.

If Matt goes under the knife the only way I can see 500 is if the rest of the AL East keeps scuffling.

If Matt does have some type of tear in his elbow how plausible is it for him to finish the year DHing and then have the surgery as soon as the season is over (or as soon as we are eliminated from playoff contention)? Not sure how much stress on the elbow would come from just batting.
