Well, now the offense can take a breath. If we do end up giving up 3 more runs, this game is on the pitching. That said, more of that offense would be very welcome.

I wouldn't call it likely, but I think he'll get there. I'm not as confident in that as I was before he returned from the DL, though. His swing just looks...off...to me. Uppercut seems to be much more pronounced, and he doesn't seem to be making great use of his lower half (maybe injury related?).

Before the season I said he'd be less than 35 this year(which I'd take), now after the slow start, DL stint plus what you've said I'm doubting that.

To me, the answer for him is going the other way. Last year he was much better at taking pitches to LF, even hitting HRs. This year, not so much. I'd love someone more proficient than me to pull that data on that.
