Padres have, or should I say had, a clueless GM. That franchise is in rough shape, like the Phillies.

I don't really think the Padres have any regrets about the Hundley/Patton trade. Hundley was their third string catcher, and they just wanted to get his salary off the books. The trade has turned out nicely for the Orioles, though.

Patton cleared waivers and was outrighted to the minors. Slightly surprising that he wasn't claimed by a team. Oh well.
