You can't just send a tweet out like this without defining "success" or "similar". This tweet is without merit or meaning.

People do it all the time, maybe because the limit of characters they allow you, who knows.

The reason I wouldn't make this trade is because as things currently stand we a .500 team and competing for the 2nd wild card spot at the most. Look at what we'd need to get back to being a playoff level team: At least a few of these

-Chris Tillman back to a 3.50 ERA pitcher

-Same for Ubaldo

-Gonzo, Chen and Norris to all be at least 4-4.25

-Gausman coming up and being a successful starter

-Johan doing the same

-MW to be back as the full time catcher

-Chris Davis to hit at least 25 HR's the rest of the way

-Machado to be back in all ways

-Lough to start hitting

We don't need all of those but we at least need the rotation ones and Machado and Davis. The way I see it is that you don't Trade Gausman and Ed Rod to chase a wild card spot. If we're still .500 come July 1st then I'd start to entertain offers for Cruz and Hardy and just gear up for next year when we have a Healthy MW and Machado. Bundy and Gausman will be factors and we'll have the prospects for Hardy and Cruz with the Markakis contract coming off the books.
