Means has flashed some 93 mph heat at times this year, but he worked comfortably at 89-91 Wednesday, spotting his fastball effectively to both sides of the plate. His 74-76 curveball and 77-78 changeup both seemed to get better as the game went on, giving him three legitimate weapons, but his fastball was his bread and butter.

So they didn't go overslot.

This draft doesn't make sense to me.

Unless of course they finally decided to devote a draft to power bullpen arms like I wanted them to years ago.

They think they drafted the right guys.

Saw him on the Cape last summer. Good fade on his CH, FB velocity isn't much to shout about, he's a control/command pitcher first and foremost. There was a massive crop of these guys last summer on the Cape, and he was one of the better ones.
