His defense is shaky. It may be lack of confidence. He is still young.

Shaky according to what? His fielding percentage at 2B is better than Flaherty's this year. I don't want to bring up other defensive stats because of the same old SSS argument, but he's arguably been better than Flash at 2B this year.
