I have always felt this was the case. it looked pretty clear to me and his metrics backed it up.

A "down" year of 4 WAR. Maybe 5 by the end of the season if he keeps playing like he normally does. Who the heck wants that guy long term? LMAO.

I'm just hoping he can stay steady the last two months.   He'd be hard pressed to reach 5 WAR, but 4.5 is possible if he can avoid any serious slumps the last two months.
