Roch has a Matt Williams quote

"It's difficult," said Nationals manager Matt Williams. "You figure that a right-handed sidearm pitcher, the ball sinks a lot, but he was throwing balls up in the strike zone. That's difficult to see, because it comes down here and it takes a different angle than you're used to - up-to-down as opposed to down-to-up. That's why he's in that spot, because he's really tough on right-handed hitters. "

O'Day is a guy myself, Mr. Snufalupagus, AO and others sang the O'Day song to when he got off the bus after the loss in NY in '12 playoff game.

BTW, he remembered and appreciated it!

Sign him up!!!

We have a lot of O'Day fans here. And a few stalkers.

Being a Texas boy, I've been able to appreciate him for the last 5-6 years. I was pretty ecstatic when we picked him up...while being confused as to why Texas let him go. But it adds to my love of locals always telling me, "Your Orioles are like the Rangers of the north". Well...quit giving up on quality players and maybe you'd still be competitive.

Man, that was a fun night!

By the way, I was looking for that thread a few days ago and couldn't find it. Can someone post a link?

Here is my video.

It's not the greatest, but hell, I drove from Yankee Stadium rather quickly thinking that I had to beat the team there. Turns out that their flight was delayed, and we just stood there for a couple of hours before the bus arrived.

The 4:28 mark is where the O'Day chant was started by yours truly:p, but I believe that a larger one erupted later by the aforementioned OH members (unless they were the ones chanting alongside my buddy and I, you can hear the later one in the video as well).

I love me some DOD:

Also, that's my son and I on his wife's twitter background:

Mr. Unsung Hero

He doesn't get a lot wins.

He doesn't get a lot of saves.

He doesn't get paid the big bucks.

He just gets the job done, over and over and over again.

Darren O'Day.

(vs. MARINERS, 7/24)

3 up, 3 down.

19 pitches, 12 strikes.

1 strikeout.
