That's the problem. It's not like he is hanging in there, or he is close and you are just waiting for the light to turn on. At this stage in his career, there is no light. Most of his at-bats look like a publicity stunt. Like he's some fan that won the "play for the O's for a day" contest.

Watching Schoop "hit" is torture. HE IS AWFUL. Need a real 2B. Not some guy who couldn't even hit in AAA like Schoop.

Agree, .575 OPS. Of all the hitters we have I have the least faith when he comes AB, that includes Flaherty and Lough. Hewill be good someday but he should be in the minors. We are not a rebuilding ball club, we are in a pennant race.

I'd consider bringing back Roberts and I'm not kidding. Even if he hit .250 with a .300 OBP, it'd be an upgrade.

Going to be hard to replace him. I think Utley would be a difference maker but I just don't see Philly moving him. We need Davis to step up. Going to have to live with it.

There's no way the O's take on Utley's contract. He has attainable vesting options that could keep him under contract through 2018.

I have been a huge Schoop fan, but he is just not getting it done. No level of defense balances out his ineptitude at the plate. We may really regret not getting 2B help at the deadline. If we could have gotten Cabrerra... I hope we at least were trying to land him

Lots of teams are getting terrible production at 2B this season. The Giants even gave Dan Uggla a chance out of desperation. I'm not saying the O's situation is good, but it's not like there is a lot of surplus talent at that position to trade for.

We've needed a second baseman since 2012. Duquette's failure to address that is a blight on his otherwise stellar record.

His WAR on the year is more than double that of Schoop and Flaherty's combined.
