Wow he looks good today... he is on my fantasy team but I had yet to actually SEE him pitch this year. He did get pounded 2 or 3 starts ago... I just hope for 2 runs in 7 innings pitched with an ORIOLE victory...

Jake Arrieta has been great since landing in the National League. Nothing like not having to face a DH! Comes into today with a 2.61 ERA and I'm sure would love to do well against the Orioles. What say you all? How does Jake do against a pretty hot Orioles club this afternoon?

We can be annoyed if he is suddenly a great starter but I don't see how we could possibly have regrets. We gave him every chance. He was 27 and had made 63 replacement level starts over 4 years and pitched poorly in the minors in the last 2 years. If he is suddenly a perennial All-Star you have to just chalk that up as an act of God.

I just love how every club can magically alter their pitching rotations so that the Os face every team's best starters without fail. The Playoffs will be easier than the last 2 months.
