"I never heard nothing like this," Cruz said. "It was so loud. My ears were ringing."

We did all that. Ran around in circles with a finger on top of the head. It was a family affair. Everything is Everything.

People I did not know tapped me on the back to alternately high five, hug or dance with.

I got some many high fives from total strangers. It was a magical day.

Someone said the noise was like never before, even the timbre. It was the same even on TV!

I have watched this like 30 times since yesterday. Couldn't link MLB's version so I downloaded and uploaded my own. :D So great with the TV call AND Joe Angel.

I had to walk over to my daughter's school at 3:30 to pick her up. My parents were up for a visit (my dad is a Baltimore native), and we watched until the last possible moment we could; Pearce had just knocked in the fourth run. I started checking MLB At Bat on my phone, and as I walked up the hill toward the door where the kids come out, I called back, "Bases loaded, still one out." My dad smiled.

Another dad who was waiting for his kid saw my hat and asked me how on Earth I could be missing the game. "I've got it on my phone right here," I told him, and asked him who he follows. The Yankees, he told me, but then said he really wants Showalter to win. I told him I thought that was cool. My daughter came out and greeted her Pop-Pop and Gram; I checked my phone again. "Seven-six, O's!" I shouted, and the Yankees-fan dad was just smiling. We walked back home. I was positively giddy.

At the intersection right before my house, a man wearing an orange shirt called out the window of his Jeep, "Seven-six!"

"Yeah, baby!" was all I could say.

I wish I had been there, and I wish I'd been able to see it live, but at times like these, it's awesome to be an Orioles fan anywhere in the world. Even solid Yankees territory.

I was at a wedding reception. Weird time for a wedding, I know. I was watching parts of the game on the TBS app. My wife got a text from her sister to say we went up 7-6. As I started to go outside to let out a scream, I heard a group cheering. I went over, met them, and watched the 9th with them huddled around my phone.

i had a plan to watch the game on my phone at work. Keep in mind I'm the type of person that goes to work and just works, I don't really slack off, take many breaks--if any, but my plan was to watch the O's on my phone using MLB At Bat, a VPN, and a GPS spoofer. This plan worked in the past, but as I tried "location" because of latency, I actually got locked out of the streaming options of my account. Which left me to listening to the radio for the first time in years.

It turn out awesome though because of this moment. I was actually a bit dejected after the Tigers went up 6-3 and went out of my office to talk about it with a co-worker and didn't bring my phone only to get back to my phone when Nelson hit his single and run back out to let my co-worker know they have two on.

To make a long story I just laid my phone down on my coworkers desk while others gathered around giving high-fives and hugs after the Orioles took the lead and then in the 9th putting a finger up and saying out loud ever out.

Awesome, awesome expierence, I wish I would have seen it live, but it was just a cool experience and my words aren't doing it justice.

    • Fantastic pickup by Elias and big kudos to O’Hearn for taking advantage of the resources to improve. He’s a great story.
    • Given his injury history and what’s happening right now, Means may make more money as an Oriole next year than as a free agent. He may have to settle for league minimum as a FA but would do better than that in arbitration. Heck, unless he’s effective at least a little this year then the orioles might release him after the season to avoid paying more than league minimum. I hope Means recovers, very much so, but this scenario is possible imo.    ps. I guess I ignored the part where you said if Means thinks he is healthy.
    • What I'd like to see in the next game Holliday plays, is for him to keep his eyes following through on the ball when he swings. In the last game I saw, he was yanking his head off the zone when he swung and couldn't see the bat to the ball. He was missing wildly and it wasn't even competitive. So, keep your eye on the ball! Follow all the way through! If your swing is so violent that it's yanking your head off the sight of the ball, then adjust your mechanics because you can't hit what you can't see!
    • What a great example of pedantic! Please tell us you meant to do that. I honestly can’t tell these days.
    • Well it certainly doesn't look like he'll be winning Rookie of Year award. And if we send him down for like the tiniest amount of time, we get him for another year, right? I think if this poor hitting continues it's financial mismanagement not to send him back down. Grayson got sent down and came back way better.
    • He certainly isn't a bust but I wasn't happy with the pick at the time and I don't love using the second overall pick for that type of player profile. Westburg signed for slot so he's irrelevant but Mayo was a great use of the money saved.
