From seeing him in 5-10 games a year, I get the impression that Melky's defense has declined a lot, and he has real lapses in LF that would drive Buck (and many of us) nuts. His SABR defensive index was -4.3, for what that's worth.

His base running has also declined. Not worth the money he'll get.
