Seems like a pretty mediocre haul. MLB.com ranks Velazquez 12th and Williams 14th in the DBacks' system. Fangraphs ranks them 8th and 9th.

Hellickson is pretty mediocre himself. I was surprised to see how average or worse he has been the last few years. This move also reaked of dumping payroll.

Clearly, he hasn't performed to expectations, but there may be some upside looking at his increased rate in SO each of the last three years.

I'm surprised they didn't go after a more major league ready return' date=' even if it meant sacrificing the ceiling of the players some.[/quote']

They probably couldn't get that kind of return from Arizona.

Besides Tampa needs to restock. I read that thee guys ranked 14 and 15 in Arizona's system but immediately came in at 9 and 10 in Tampa's system.
