One of the marks of a truly great player is being named MVP in just another year for them. This was clearly Trout's 3rd-best MLB season in three full years. Not unlike Ted Williams or Yogi, guys who you'd have trouble picking out their MVP seasons from their numbers. I also like that the voters gave the NL MVP to the best player despite the fact he's a pitcher. Even if his assigned W/L record probably gave him a lot of votes.
