I would be surprised if the M's don't avoid arbitration and get an extension, if not now then before the season starts. Bavasi has not gone to arbitration yet.

I think it would be a mistake for the M's to get an extension for him right now. They should be thinking about doing that next year. They need to make sure this is the right fit for both of them before throwing a ton of money at Bedard.
