Why is it sad? Your understanding of these transactions is what is sad. He can easily be removed and this is what happens when you trade for a guy who has been DFA.

Why even waste a 40 man spot on him? That's right everyone the Orioles add is a great player in your eyes.

Great conclusion there. Sure are an intelligent one. If you can actually support that statement please do so, otherwise you continue to show what a buffoon you are.

He didn't say it was a great player, he said it's pointless to complain about the 40 man spot, because he can easily be removed.

On another note, if you are a lefty and breathing, you have some value.

Thanks for posting the move. Do you have any thoughts about him? I assume this means we will not be signing Markakis over this weekend.

I think this and the McCoy acquisitions are in anticipation of Matusz either being dealt or non-tendered.

I think so too. McCoy has options. How about Barnes?

Lefties hit .191 off him in AAA and he had a 1.80 GO/AA ratio against them. Definitely seems like left-handed reliever depth to me. Good low cost move. This doesn't bode well for Matusz being tendered.

Barnes Held opponents to .193 avg in AAA last yr (.191 vs LHH, .194 vs RHH), avg. 9.9 Ks per 9 innings.
