Generally speaking if a move is a promotion, rather then lateral, teams let the employee go.

And he can run the team how he wants too. He can't do that here.

Yup he's gonna be a Blue Jay soon a owner that spends is a key i bet.

Right because the Blue Jay ownership didn't put a full halt to spending or trading at the deadline last year.

Do you not pay attention?

The Jays are owned by a corporation. They lack a guiding principle of ownership. Last year they had no money, this year they have money. Next year who knows? It is almost as if the ownership changes every few years.

What was it the Red Sox got in compensation from the Cubs for signing Epstein? First round draft pick? More? It was sizable, as I recall. Wouldn't this be an identical situation? Shouldn't we be compensated?
