That is the question. The kid can clearly mash, but how is his glove? Defense up the middle is just as important as the bat. Maybe more so to Elias. Perhaps they feel he needs more seasoning there? Who knows. Frazier’s glove is solid as he has proven that over the years so the onus is on Westburg to progress rapidly there if that’s what is holding him back. I still think we see much more movement than we saw with Odor last year. I’m thinking much like last year, the lineup we field to start the season will be very different from the one we see as we march on to the playoffs for the first time in a long time.
I agree with this. I think they tried to double-down on their cleverness in '21 and it hasn't worked out. I'd take the '20 class if choosing between the two.
Everyone was so sure Japan would just kinda walk over Mexico the way USA did over Cuba, I was really glad to see MEX hold their own throughout the game. What an exciting game it was!
Kjerstad starting the season in AA is a waste of his time. Ideally he starts in AAA, which gives Hays, Santander, and Stowers pressure to perform. I love all 3 of them, but healthy competition is where we are at in this stage of the rebuild.
