Young man, it is a sports msg board. And you are messing it up with your vitriol. Give it a rest. And I agree with you about Angelos. I do not like him either.

Haha. Guy, I made a post about sports and about this team like the rules state. Then I get personally attacked and somehow by defending myself, I'm the one messing it up?

I like how you agreed with Weams on his post of me getting off the board with "my pwrsonal attacks" then you turn around and personally attack me when none of my posts werere about you or directed towards you.

You sir, are a hypocrite and obviously seem to be no better than me.

I was trying to imply "since" Tejeda. So I wouldn't count the Likes of Belle or.Alomar and forgive me for not knowing the name Kevin brown.

Also wasnt Palmeiro older than Cruz currently is when we signed him. And you're going to put him in Tejedas class based on the time of the Os signing both?

Palmeiro waant a highly sought after FA when the Os.signed him. He been in his decline when we signed him.

Next someone is going to bring up Vlad and Sosa. Haha.

Palmeiro signed with the Orioles twice. The first time was in his prime. In those five years he was an All Star, Silver Slugger winner, Gold Glove winner, and finished in the top 20 in MVP voting each year.

It's not my job to figure out what you think you are adding to this board with ill-informed flippant remarks, so I won't bother trying. I will put you on ignore so I won't have to read them anymore.

Dreaming of the day PA no longer owns the Os.

Whoever would be in line to take his place or be majority owner, I hope they are more of a fan than a shrewed business man and isn't so uptight about money 100% of the time.

Just seems like PA if the type of guy who doesn't realize us fans are how he gets his money or that he just doesnt care.

Other than Cruz (who I wouldn't really count due to only a one year deal) the only "Big FA" they signed was Tejeda.

Its funny how they(he) are willing to give out money when the team as a whole sucks, but now the team is one of the best in baseball and they(he) are afraid to do anything of substance.

I know most on here dislike him as well, but it also seems like a lot try to defend him or his decisions so I felt this would be a good story for ppl to realize just who he is or what he's about.

769 posts and you still do not get it. Let me help you. Read the posts. Have a good laugh. Move on to next one

That really is the correct approach to seeing someone who is not value added. I defend everyone's right to be wrong. Not all agendas.

Young man, I come here to talk about the Orioles. I have no desire to read posts about/complaining of other posters

Thats just me though.

I haven't attacked anyone who didn't attack me first. And I wouldn't classify defending myself as attacking.

It's laughable how you direct that towards me with what has been said by COC as well.

Laughable? You started the personal stuff. He was not polite to your post. A big difference.

For someone who is so driven by correct English, you forgot a coma after secondly.

Secondly, the attack comment was in response to weams posts, nor anything you've said.

I just feel like anything I post, even if others you have respect for agree with me, you find away to turn it into a negative abs start a rift with me. Yet I'm betting accused of personally attacking ppl.

It doesn't make sense.

The less posters without coma's the better. Feel free to put as many commas in your posts as you want.

    • What I'd like to see in the next game Holliday plays, is for him to keep his eyes following through on the ball when he swings. In the last game I saw, he was yanking his head off the zone when he swung and couldn't see the bat to the ball. He was missing wildly and it wasn't even competitive. So, keep your eye on the ball! Follow all the way through! If your swing is so violent that it's yanking your head off the sight of the ball, then adjust your mechanics because you can't hit what you can't see!
    • What a great example of pedantic! Please tell us you meant to do that. I honestly can’t tell these days.
    • Well it certainly doesn't look like he'll be winning Rookie of Year award. And if we send him down for like the tiniest amount of time, we get him for another year, right? I think if this poor hitting continues it's financial mismanagement not to send him back down. Grayson got sent down and came back way better.
    • He certainly isn't a bust but I wasn't happy with the pick at the time and I don't love using the second overall pick for that type of player profile. Westburg signed for slot so he's irrelevant but Mayo was a great use of the money saved.
    • Think Heston will be the next call up. Mayo’s K/BB ratio is poor and I think they’ll want to see that even out. Stowers and Norby have seen their numbers slip a bit.  It will likely take an injury to an outfielder or first baseman, but I think we see HK next.
    • I have to laugh at some of my pre-draft thoughts as well as others. I will say on behalf of myself and some others is that what we did not understand then was what the Orioles brain trust knew to be their model, and what they best developed. What traits they were looking for is an important thing to know, in hindsight anyway. And really, the Jackson Holliday leap in development was not something most of us heard anything about until about a month before the draft. I saw him the previous summer and I cannot say he was all that impressive, but it was only one look. His physicality took a big jump after that.  I will also add that we’re never going to know what would have happened if they drafted Austin Martin, Jones, Lawler, Lacy, etc. Their development could well have been different as O’s. The funny part of this board, in general, is the absolute certainty some have in their opinions and how eager they are to trash Elias and staff. There is plenty of humility to go around, now that things have played out. It’s fun to finally have a truly great front office and ownership group, and a stacked stable of horses.
