Which players will the O's extend?

January is a month for salary negotiations. The O's have 10 players that will be free agents after the 2015 season if they are not extended. Dan Duquette will be working with agents to avoid arbitration hearings and to possibly extend certain players.

Which of these 11 potential free agent players will Dan extend?:

Matt Wieters

Wei-Yin Chen

Bud Norris

Darren O'Day

Alejandro De Aza

Tommy Hunter

Steve Pearce

Delmon Young

Wesley Wright

I have to agree. Not one player on your list interests me. Maybe Wieters, but not likely. I'd be more interested in buying out arbitration years with Tillman and Manny.

I definitely don't think it will be Davis, Wieters, or Chen. I could definitely see a Pearce extension if he plays a similar season to last year. It's hard to say with the bullpen guys. I don't see them paying any premium prices on any of them. If O'Day keeps it together this year I could see another contract for him offered.

Maybe O'Day. Otherwise not Chen, Davis, or Wieters, (Boras). Don't see any reason to extend the others.

I hope not. I don't think he'll be much better than last season, and he doesn't give enough innings. I'd rather make room for Bundy and Harvey.

Ah, yeah I answered about extensions in general. As far as this winter goes i see no one extended. This is a big year for the club... with so many free agents I think they'll wait to see how some things go throughout the season before choosing a direction with this group.

I think they will all be elsewhere next season. If we're not in it at the all star break, there could be quite a selloff in July.

You have Delmon there twice. Replacing 10-11 guys in one offseason is a tall task.
