I've had a recurring dream over the past few years that Brewster, NY has gotten an influx of Baltimore Oriole fans.

No joke.

(In my dream) I would drive by Brewster High School, and see loads of teenagers wearing orange and black Orioles jackets and Orioles caps. The same thing would happen when I would drive through Main Street, and through other sections of Brewster. It was mostly younger people.

I would wonder (in my dream) what percentage of all of these people were actually Oriole fans, and what percentage just wore the gear because they liked the colors.

I guess I must be an ultra-positive thinker/dreamer.

If it was serious, I can't wait to find out why. I just reread the thread and I can't find anything remotely close to racist.

I think McNulty was playing off the very old white guy belief that all black people look alike, and the result of that being for many years non-blacks couldn't (in polite society) say any black person looked like any other.
