Here's another guy that should be on the O's radar. Either an MiL deal, or perhaps reason to boot Clevenger off the 40-man. DD did say he was looking at both major and minor league options at the catcher position.

Note that MLBtraderumors has it wrong: he isn't 30, he's 28. Solid D with great caught stealing % and a little pop (.745 OPS, 22 HRs in 739 PAs in AAA).

We would have to wait until he clears waivers. I think he would be worth a look then. I do believe someone will claim him.

So by that it seems you think we wouldn't claim him and cut, say, Clevenger. I think the reason there's a chance of that is Clevenger's lack of defense, or at least Buck's lack of confidence in it. If Butler brings D, isn't he the upgrade DD was looking for?

I think he is a non roster, with invite type of guy.
