But Bud just filed for over 10 million.

Yeah, I was thinking that trading Bud is the obvious move. I think Bud will be more productive next year than a Coor-less Blackmon, but maybe the value (cost to production ratio) would be significantly better with Blackmon? Hmmm. I think I would still rather pay Bud if the O's can't get a better OF for him.

I would think Bud or Gonzo would get that done. Put Ubaldo back in the rotation (even if he's not a great pitcher, for the money he's getting, he belongs there). Put McFarland, Webb, or Garcia back in the pen.
You can't lump these two together. Gonzo is cheaper, under control for more years, and is the better SP.

His numbers away from Coors are not that great. If they take Ubaldo back and an average minor leaguer I'd do it. It would be worth it to get him off the payroll. He was 56-45 in Colorado and pitched to a 3.66 ERA, 3 shutouts and 8 complete games. It was 2010 when he was 19-8, pitched to a 2.88 ERA and made the All Star team. They might take him back. Stranger things have happened.
