Angelos and his Fortune

We know he was a huge supporter of the Greek Olympic team in the past.

Is there any indication at all that some of his assets are in Greek securities? Or is the bulk of his estate in the Orioles and MASN?

There were reports that with the MLB arb panel ruling that MASN have been devalued to the order of 800 million dollars. I remember reading that he had lost a substantial amount in the 2008 downturn and had slipped from the billionaire ranks.

Greek banks have lost almost 40% of their value in the three days since Syriza ascended to power in Sunday's election as the dual threats of a bank run and the loss of support from the European Central Bank threaten a liquidity squeeze.

Working in finance - If PGA had all his money tied up in one countries (Greece) foreign securities, he would be a fool. I would believe his investment team would be a lot smarter than that.

He may have made a fortune investing in foreign securities from the 80's and 90's but now they are so risky that you must hedge whatever you have tied up in those markets to the point that its not even worth the investment.
