Al Michaels claims Twins pumped in fake crowd noise in '87 World Series

Recommended Posts

Michaels said he has no doubt that the Twins used artificial crowd noises to help boost the volume level in the Metrodome in the 1987 World Series. I still remember the iconic shot of an ABC crew member holding a volume meter that had broken due to the excessive noise. Perhaps not coincidentally, the Vikings were accused of using the same tactic back in the day. (Falcons owner Arthur Blank recently apologized for doing the same over the last two seasons at the Georgia Dome)
