Season Tickets

I got mine in today too. TBH was a bit disappointed there wasn't more of a marketing/thank you spin on the packaging. Granted I'm the lowest tier plan holder (13-games) but the tickets came in a standard Fedex soft envelope with the OCM card inside and a mastercard offer. Would've liked to see a little card board box like you get with your checks from the bank or something a bit more professional.

Anyways, I was told I needed to do exchanges at the box office which is really going to be a PITA as I need mostly Fri/Sat night games being as though I travel down from Ct. and can't go to mid-week games. I think I'm only using 2 of my scheduled 13 games.

You can definitely mail them. On a 13 Game plan even.

29 and 81 game plan holders get an awesome looking box.... I will say this though even the 13 game plan holders get more than Ravens season ticket holders! My Dad's Ravens tickets came all bent and just the tickets nothing else.

Five or six yeard ago,I think that is correct any season ticket holder got t-shirts with your plan. Any plan got them based on amount of seats you had. Of course that is when they were looking for anyone they could get.

Yeah, they gave away tee-shirts that said "Orange Carpet Program" and then every game they would find someone wearing one of those shirts and give them a prize pack. That was either 2009 or 2010, I believe.

Yep. I think they did that for two or three years. I scored a visit to the media rooms and stadium programming suite (where they did the scoreboard and the music, etc.) by wearing my shirt once.

I can confirm that you can do the entire exchange process online. You simply forward the ticket(s) to your rep and tell them what game you want and where you'd like to sit. The only thing is that you can't exchange tickets the day of the game.

I just did exactly this.

Called my rep.....message stating he's out until Monday....called ticket number and spoke to another rep who told me I can forward my tickets to my rep and to leave instructions in the ticket forwarding comment box. So I told him I wanted to trade 4/12 and 6/14 tickets for 4 seats together on 4/12 (so I can take my wife and daughters for the necklace giveaway). I specified where I wanted to sit. And from what I was told by a rep the other day I'll be able to use the remaining balance towards additional 2015 regular season games.

I wonder when and how the remaining OD seats that they're holding for ST sales will be released??

Anyone else not get an email or tickets yet? I did that chat thing with the Orioles this afternoon and they said since I just ordered my tickets (ordered it a month ago with all new ticket holders) - I should see them in 7 to 10 business days. What????

Depending on what games you want to attend it may be wise to wait to trade in your tickets. As of now, the Orioles are still holding back the best 13-game plan tickets in each section for potential new season ticket buyers. This means, for example, that for every game that isn't part of a 29-game plan, the first 8 rows of upper reserve and the first 8 rows of upper box are not available. If you cross-reference the game that you are looking to trade for with the available seats in the 13-game plan that the game appears in, you can see what seats are being held back.

Just bumping this post to let people know that on Monday the Orioles broke up some of the unsold 13-game plans so you can go ahead and trade for some seats. I went over to the stadium and traded for a pair of tickets in the front row of the upper box for four of the giveaway dates.

    • Reminds me of Miguel Gonzalez, who came out of nowhere to be a major contributor to some playoff runs.  I doubt he ends up as a rotation mainstay. But I was certain O'Hearn would turn into a pumpkin after a few weeks too and he still hasn't.
    • If it weren’t for the service time component I think Holliday would have a very long leash before being sent down. He’s still contributing positively on defense and AAA pitchers just were not challenging him anymore. The priority above all else should be what is best for his long term development, and he needs to struggle against MLB pitching for longer than this to get to a point where you feel it’s doing more harm than good. I do think there can be some merit to the idea that MLB time exposes some weakness, which then can be worked on in a lower-stress environment in AAA, but I don’t think that’s strictly necessary since he’d be working on the same things against MLB pitching. However, the Orioles are now in a tricky situation where if it becomes apparent that Holliday is not going to win ROY, they have a strong incentive to send him down for at least a short stint to get the extra year. How they navigate that without that being totally transparent is tough. They could definitely do it now and nobody would claim service time manipulation given his struggles, but I don’t think they want to yet for purely development purposes. If he’s still struggling with around 100 PAs that’s when I think they make the move.
    • Yea, definitely a concern. Hes a great story but really good pitchers don’t normally sit around in obscurity until their mid 30s.     It’s possible they found something in him but the realistic thing is that this is short lived but perhaps there is a role for him in the pen and he can have a late blooming career as a reliever.  Nothing wrong with that.
    • New Kids on the Block line-up — could be more fun than the singing group.
    • The main concern I have is the amount of hard contact and looking at statcast bears that out. 15th percentile in Avg Exit Velocity at 91 MPH and 7th percentile in Hard Hit % at 51.6%.
    • If he doesn't show anything, why would they bring hm back (especially to the rotation)?
    • I'm sort of bracing for what happened in ST, which was that he started super strong and kind of faded with each start. He was already down a mph or so on his fastball in this last one, but then again he had a much better changeup this time.  So we'll see.
