High Expectations for 2015

I dont know about you Oriole fans but I have extremely high

expectations for the Orioles this year. The Orioles have all the pieces for a very good season. Who cares that they lost Miller, Markakis and Cruz. Dan felt they were replaceable and I now think he was right. I hated to

lose Nick due to sentimental reasons but the time was right to let him go

If the Orioles dont win the AL East this year, I will be disappointed. If the Orioles stay fairly healthy there is nobody in the division better than us.

In Buck we trust! Go Orioles!

All will be revealed in time. I do not expect us to win 96 games this year. I see us more in the 85-92 range. If we're in the upper end of that range, we may win the AL East again, but that depends on what other teams do. I don't see any team that I'd favor over the Orioles, but there's enough talent around the division where some other team could seize control. There's lots of ways this could go.

Its hard to have any kind of expectations for this team. Regression can not exist and we still need some breakout years from a couple of guys. Even if both of those ring true then you'll need guys in the division to not work out. We know Boston will score a lot of runs but if their pitching clicks then they'll be hard to beat. If NY or TOR end up healthy and playing on all cylinders then they'll be hard to beat. If Tampa is able to scratch out an average offense then coupled with that pitching....you guessed it, they'll be hard to beat.

My hopes are high but its hard for me to expect anything. Way too many gambles on this team between players coming back from injuries, players coming off abysmal seasons, or players coming off career years. A lot of intrigue will undoubtedly keep it interesting one way or another.

I'm trying to keep my expectations realistic. I think we can make it to the tournament but it won't be easy. After that it's a crap shoot. Boston and Toronto have really helped themselves. Donaldson was a steal and Martin will help their staff. The Red Sox have question marks in the rotation but I don't think they're done. They will score a lot of runs. Their defense is suspect though. The Rays have lost Morgan and Zobrist. That's a huge void in the club house. Plus they have a new skipper who has never managed anywhere! And we were picked last. Makes you shake your head.
