Hey just saw this post on Rotoworld.

what are your thoughts on this speculation/analysis. Accurate or B.S.?

---------------------

Ryan Flaherty went 3-for-3 with a double Tuesday against the Pirates.

With Delmon Young and a backup catcher (Caleb Joseph if Matt Wieters is healthy,

Steve Clevenger otherwise) guaranteed roster spots, the Orioles are facing tough

calls for two spots on the bench. The incumbents are Flaherty and David Lough,

but the Orioles also have Everth Cabrera to consider for the infield, an

out-of-options Jimmy Paredes and Nolan Reimold making a strong case for an outfield

spot. Since Cabrera is playing some outfield, it's possible the Orioles could keep

both him and Flaherty. They'd also have the option of sending down Jonathan

Schoop and letting Cabrera and Flaherty battle it out for second, though that seems unlikely.

I'm not convinced Schoop's bat is ready. He's already struck out 10 times in only 38 plate appearances. Only 1 walk. Way too aggressive at the plate. I think he needs seasoning.

That said, I don't know if the dropoff from Schoop's defense to someone like Cabrera is worth it to make up for Schoop's lack of offense.
