When you played, finger in or out of the glove?

Great question. My first glove was one of those old 3 fingers and a thumb gloves, but when I moved up always kept the finger out.

Out. I used a Mizuno glove (which I still own) for most of my playing days and it was a little too painful to the index finger when you caught a line drive or hard throw right in the web. I tried wearing a batting glove under the glove once but it just felt wrong.

I rocked Mizuno gloves, too. Finger out, no batting glove.

I was told out for infielders and in for outfielders. That's how the gloves are made. It honestly depended on which glove I was wearing.

Out. As an outfielder I had a big glove that I used all throughout all the leagues of my childhood. I remember one year

my Dad bought me a new glove for Christmas and I did not have the heart to tell him that I preferred my old,worn in glove.

I would take both gloves to all my games and let someone else use the new one if they needed. He worked so much that

he was not able to attend any games so he never knew. Now if we played games in the neighborhood on a Sunday he

would come out there so I would wear the new one and I hated it.
