Please be Cabrera with Flaherty as the back-up. I don't really want to see a line-up with Flaherty and whoever is catching

hitting for us in the same game too many times. We will already be missing Cruz's bat so we don't need too many .200 to

.220 BA in the line-up at the same time. I realize Cabrera only hit .232 last year but Flaherty has never even hit that high

(.224 was his best year) so I love Ryan's glove but him and one of the catchers makes me feel like we have a NL looking

line-up.

Holy cherry-picking, Batman! When you're citing batting average instead of stats that actually mean something, there's definitely an ulterior motive there.

Offensively, Flaherty was better than Cabrera across the board in 2014 (well, except in stolen bases). Granted, there were some extenuating circumstances -- Cabrera might have been playing through an injury -- and I agree that Cabrera is probably a little bit better hitter if all else is equal. But implying that Cabrera's 2014 season was better than any of Flaherty's seasons is way off base.

I doubt this happens, but I'd like to see Machado at SS and Paredes at 3B while Hardy is on the DL.

It would give us a good chance to evaluate Paredes. I'd like to see a DH platoon of Delmon Young vs LHP and Snider vs RHP, and I don't see Paredes as a better option for corner outfield than Pearce, De Aza, and Reimold (if he makes the team).

I thought about this as well, or Pearce at first, Davis at third, Manny at short, DeAza in left, Snider in right and Parades and Young sharing the DH spot.

Manny isn't going to play SS, it's pretty safe to say, at least not this season.

It doesn't appear that the Orioles will consider moving Manny Machado to short.

"Manny is a huge plus at third base, but that's for Buck (Showalter) to decide. But Manny is a huge asset to the team at third base," Duquette said.
