There were a bunch of posts in the lineup thread, but this probably deserves its own thread as it sounds like it is becoming a thing they are trying (not just one game). I believe one ball hit his way that he fielded. Turned a routine double play, and made a tag to prevent a SB. Buck said after the game that his main issues had to do with backing up plays. So far so good.

Gotta wonder if asking him to play a completely new position when he is only hitting .185 is a good idea?

or maybe it's a stroke of genius and worrying about his defense will take him mind off his offensive woes.

We're a month into the season and Delmon Young is our best option in RF and Steve Pearce is playing 2B. Never ever ever saw this coming.

And if this continues much longer the Orioles will be lucky to finish .500 on the season.

Or maybe, just maybe, Buck has confidence that he will turn around since the season is so young and he think that Steve can handle it and maybe take his mind off his batters box struggles? Ya 'think?

Post a positive post once and again just to humor me so I don't think you are here to troll the team please.

Also, a career OF/1B getting moved to a middle infield or 3B in his 30's. Has this ever happened before in recent memory?

I may be wrong but didn't I read somewhere yesterday that he came into pro ball as a SS and 3B? May have been a tweet from Encina.
