Rey Navarro doesn't deserve to be sent down

I don't know about you but this guy looks like a MLB player. He has played very well since being called up. I am going to be disappointed if we send him back to Norfolk.

Deserve's got nothing to do with it. We have guys coming off the DL that Buck is more comfortable rolling out there, and Navarro can be sent down to AAA.

Cabrera has an option left. He and Navarro are both likely to be sent down to make room for Hardy and Flaherty.

Matt Wieters who? I would rather play Joseph. Good attitude, much cheaper, better defense and doesn't have a money-grubbing agent.

Travis Snider, as I predicted, isn't that good. He is not a replacement for Nick Markakis. I would rather have Alvarez or Remold playing honestly. Parmalee is RAKING but I know his defense is bad as well, too bad.

He's played in 14 games (de aza = 16; snider = 17) and has a .348 average (ops+ nearly identical to 2014). So im not sure I get your last statement.

Yes, OBP is good. Agreed. But where is the power...Like I said, I like Delmon but just was hoping for more of a full time role that he would be able to step into.

He looks like he could be one, but Delmon Young has never really been a power hitter. He's a solid batting average hitter who can hit one out but isn't exactly a slugger. 16 HR/162g in his career...in other words, about the same power as Ryan Flaherty.

His minor league offensive track record suggests he's a likely utility infielder. If he plays above-average defense at 2B or short and hits to his overall MiLB line, he's a 2-win player. In other words, if things work out well, he's Ryan Flaherty. That's an asset with some value, and if he shows more over the course of the year perhaps we can find a team willing to give something up for Flaherty this offseason, saving a few $$ and maybe adding a B prospect.

I'm as excited as anyone else about his pinch hitting today, but there's no need to get carried away.

I thought he was solid but I didn't think he did anything exceptionally well. I REALLY want Hardy back ASAP.
