isestrex
If you think you as a fan is getting fatigued watching this team, just think about the Players. They haven't played against the home faithful in almost 2 weeks since that glorious 18 run trouncing of the Red Sox. Remember that... that was the last time they had normalcy and it seems like months ago. I think this "2nd Opening Day" is going to do wonders in rejuvenation for this team, much like "Fantastic Fans Night" on May 2nd 1988 when they set a club record in attendance of 50,402 after starting 1-23 as they returned from a long road trip. Thankfully, this team is better suited to get a lot more out of a jolt like that (the '88 Orioles needed a lot more help than the fans could have given). Starting Monday, the Orioles play 17 of the next 20 games at home (with a brief trip to MIA squeezed in). Their opponents are: TOR, LAA, SEA, HOU, CHW, TB. I know it's almost physically painful to watch this team right now, but they have an extremely important and - hopefully - refreshing stretch ahead of them. eddie83
I hope you are right. I get what you are saying. Just something annoying every game. Today Manny gets caught stealing down 3 and Davis stares at a 2-0 fastball.
Rich Mac
The schedule (and circumstances) have definitely not been kind to us. We have really only played 9 of our first 27 games with a home crowd. I'm not counting the zero attendance game or the "home" games in Tampa. You're right...that has got to be taking a toll on the players. It must be hard to keep up the intensity when you feel like you're playing against the crowd every night.
OFFNY
o (vs. YANKEES, 5/09) The Orioles stopped the bleeding of their 4-game losing streak today. Wei-Yin Chen, Tommy Hunter, Zach Britton, and the Orioles' offense gave the team a desperately-needed shot in the arm. Another win tomorrow before coming back to Baltimore would really help a lot in getting the bad taste out of their mouths from their recent slide. Redskins Rick
HBT ran a story about a Brewer's AA team that was slated to play 56 games on the road and was extended beyond that because of stadium repairs. That must be horrible with the bus rides, but they were managing to stay in first place.

isestrex
We're really lucky the rest of the division sucks so badly this year. There's plenty of hope to go on a typical August-September run and win this thing.
