As much as most of us root for Crush... He's not helping on offense...

Another good offensive game for Davis.

He reached base safely 3 times in 4 plate appearances.

His solo home run in the 7th inning gave life to an otherwise lifeless offense.

His long single in the 9th inning with 2 outs extended the inning, put the base-runner in scoring position, and enabled James Jerry Hardy to win the game win an RBI-single.

David DID strike out the one time that he didn't get on base tonight, though.

Davis is 6 home runs away from the coveted "Mr. Oriole" (sarcasm) Nelson Cruz.

Jimmy Paredes has 6 home runs this season. Caleb Joseph has 4.

This is not something that us fans would have predicted.

Enough with the "we should have shelled out for Cruz" nonsense.

I imagine a lot of the stuff about Cruz will slow down when this team gets rolling and back in first. Everything is magnified when they lose.

I also think this is a game they would have lost a week or so ago. I know it is only one game, but it is a sign of life.

Davis reached base safely 2 times in 4 plate appearances tonight (a single and a walk.)

He is now above both Mendoza lines (the actual one, and my additional one.)

MENDOZA LINE (A): O .200 BA Ol (.220)

MENDOZA LINE (B): O .300 OBP O(.308)

You know, I was just going to post about Davis. I think right now would be an optimum time to look to trade Davis and see what kind of market is out there for him.

What would you give up for four months of a 2-3 win player being paid $12M for this season? I think if I was really in desperate need of a first baseman I might go as high as a prospect in the 5-10 range in the organization, but then again... that seems like a lot.
