I saw the Stones. From the nose bleed seats of RFK. Living Colour opened for them. GREAT show!

That was the year I saw Arrowsmith at the Cow Palace in SF....mostly because Living Colour was opening for them. But maybe it was the year after, or I am making it all up. Seems like a long time ago suddenly.

Paid an UNGODLY amount of money THEN... $28! It was unprecedented for me then... 1989-1990.

Yes, I saw them in 1992 in Florida...I wish I could have got the preview show tickets at the Fonda a couple weeks ago. Five dollars!

o

My mommy and my sister saw them in 1972 and 1975, respectively (both times at Madison Square Garden)

In the '75 concert my sister threw her orange hat up to Mick Jagger, who put it on his head, danced around with it for about 10 seconds, and threw it back to her.

About 5 years later they managed to get his autograph, which said, "Boys, stay in school. Mick" (at the time, my brother Mark and I were both in high school.)

Great stuff!! Thanks for sharing! 71 years young both Mick and Keith...I love seeing rockers older than me!!

I was glad we got to experience that together.

You were there?

My buddy and I were second row from the top of the upper deck. Mick and Vernon Reid and Corey Glover looked like ants. Corey swang his dreads around like I never seen. Vernon Reid wailed like he always did. Stones did an AMAZING version of 2000 Light Years. They had 40' blow-up floosies sitting on their speaker cabinets, when the Stones did Honky Tonk Women.

It was a truly great event. Cory was very good as well. He was a Cult of Personality.

Kenny Wayne Shepard opened once, in Hershey. KILLED the place! 17 years old at the time! Opened and encored his set with Hendrix songs!

According to Wikipedia, the Pump Tour was indeed 1989-90, and logically Living Colour was not one of the openers. Possibilities include "Skid Row, Joan Jett, The Cult, Poison, Warrant, Metallica, and The Black Crowes". I have absolutely no memory of who it actually was :D

I do remember that the show was awesome.

Saw Skid Row, Warrant, Poison, Black Crowes.

Opening bands... Saw Crowes twice opening, guitarist had a pic of Robert Johnson on his Marshall Stack, saw Cinderella's two guitarists and bass player change guitars EVERY SINGLE SONG. Saw Ted Nugent open for Kiss. Saw SRV open for Jeff Beck. Saw BTO open for Van Hagar, saw Tom Petty open for Zimmy and Grateful Dead, saw Sonic Youth open for Neil and Crazy Horse, saw Head East open for Rush!

    • So since Westburg is apparently still ROY eligible, Cowser and Westburg may project to be the best rookie combination since Fred Lynn and Jim Rice in 1975?
    • There were several and I was one them. I'm  on record as saying I was one of his biggest Apologists . You should feel good about yourself as you were able to see that Means would be imploding before our very eyes( which was an opinion or a guess, which is what I did) as far as feeling bad for me? Dont I'm plenty good enough to know I wont be able to guess right every time
    • Fantastic pickup by Elias and big kudos to O’Hearn for taking advantage of the resources to improve. He’s a great story.
    • Given his injury history and what’s happening right now, Means may make more money as an Oriole next year than as a free agent. He may have to settle for league minimum as a FA but would do better than that in arbitration. Heck, unless he’s effective at least a little this year then the orioles might release him after the season to avoid paying more than league minimum. I hope Means recovers, very much so, but this scenario is possible imo.    ps. I guess I ignored the part where you said if Means thinks he is healthy.
    • What I'd like to see in the next game Holliday plays, is for him to keep his eyes following through on the ball when he swings. In the last game I saw, he was yanking his head off the zone when he swung and couldn't see the bat to the ball. He was missing wildly and it wasn't even competitive. So, keep your eye on the ball! Follow all the way through! If your swing is so violent that it's yanking your head off the sight of the ball, then adjust your mechanics because you can't hit what you can't see!
    • What a great example of pedantic! Please tell us you meant to do that. I honestly can’t tell these days.
