Talk about a niche market. I'd bet all 23 people who still remember what that means post here on the Hangout.

I know I still do. To this day, I feel that true Orioles fans have more business hating the Blue Jays than the Red Sox or Yankees.

I would love one of those shirts even if I hate the Jays less than I do the Yanks and Sox. I too don't remember our rivalry with the B-Jays because I was six the year Camden Yards had the All Star game. I remember highlights of it on a Video Tape I had though. I checked this out on wiki though. Apparently Gaston had a few times been offered jobs as hitting coaches but turned them down.

The only folks who think the Jays should be hated more than the Sox and Yanks are those who formed their allegiances between, like, 1989 and 1993. Everyone else is in the hating Sox and Yanks camp.

You know who I hated?* Tom Henke! We couldn't hit that goofy looking dude for anything. Oh and Duane Ward, he was lights out on us in the middle innings as well. Their bullpen was nasty.

Yes, my fandom began in 1989, when I was 7.

*(well, not really. I don't really hate anyone, but you get what I mean)

I hated Duane Ward, too. He was always a little pudgy, with that 70s porn star mustache. I always envisioned him as some kind of stereotypical Dukes of Hazzard villain. He was probably a nice guy, but it's the illogical world of sports hatred.

I didn't like Ward or Henke, either. Henke always struck me as a wannabee kinda Kent Tekulve look for some reason. Tekulve looked like a psycho killer from a Charles Bronson flick, Henke looked like a toolbox.

I hated Kelly Gruber, too...irrationally, of course.

I still hate them, but not more than the Sox or Yanks...IMO, the Blue Jays used to matter, but now they don't. If they fell off the face of the earth, no one would miss them, except a few Beret wearing idiots in Canada.

But yeah, I remember those days. I hated them with a passion. They WERE the Sox/Yanks in that era.

I was going through some old baseball cards from those days a little while ago...I saw Joe Carter, Paul Molitor, Alomar, Henke, Ward, Stewart, Stieb...all those guys I loathed.
