I think I remember reading Mateo was a top 100 prospect back when the O's claimed him, but it didnt seem that shocking to me. The O's clearly knew who he was. -

I think this is the type of deal he will be looking at. i would do it in a heart beat. The 2 years eliminates the risk for me. Even if he gets hurt, the long term won’t be hurt much, if at all. -

If you could get Clevinger for 2/34-36 with a 3rd year mutual option at $20 M, would you do it? Would he? I think its going to take something along these lines to get him. He a solid #2-3. Pitching is expensive. -

I don’t think it was in any way derogatory to Rutschman, more so to all the ridiculous questions they get asked night in and night out. I think any irritation would be directed to the media. JMO -
McKenna's 6% walk rate probably limits his ceiling as a bench player, but I think if he gets LF matchups he can be a useful OF. It wouldnt be the worse thing to find a 4th OF who bats LF so to get better matchups more often. Maybe Phillips was the answer to that.
