Looked really good. If he keeps this up, he can very well lock down a permanent spot in 2016. Deceptive wind up, arm angle, velocity. Cueto meets O'Day. Very exciting takeaway from an otherwise frustrating game.

If they are smart they have Wright replacing Hunter and Givens replacing O'Day moving forward.

There is nothing Givens has done this season that would indicate he would not be a valuable piece in the 2016 Bullpen.

Absolutely, but the OP said moving forward.

Sorry, I took that literally from this point forward.

Wright had 2 great outings and then came back down to earth.

Starter /=/ Reliever.

Wright was clearly exceeding expectations in his first two starts. Unfortunately, expectations are generally pretty accurate.

yes Wright is a starter.

That said, one impressive outing doesn't make you a lights out reliever.

I want Givens to succeed, just not ready to rule O'Day out of the mix for 2016.

I have followed and watched Mychal Givens closely since he was first drafted. I have watched him in person multiple times as a pitcher. The change of slot and retention of deceit and velocity make it a pretty good certainty that he will have some level of success in a MLB bullpen. If he stays healthy.

So was Gausman, he was impressive at AA.

AA hitters are not Big League hitters.

He also is pretty inexperience as far as pitching experience goes.

Gausman is very impressive in MLB. Very. He may be our second best starter.

I'd rather have Gausman in the rotation then Norris or Tillman.

As for inexperience...he'd be in the pen. You don't exactly need a ton of experience to pitch an inning or two at a time.

As I said when he was drafted. ;)
