He traded the up-and-coming yoga instructor to help pay for Matt Kemp.

San Diego has a history of this.

He was just doing what he thought they did in SD.

Hey, it happens with young guys the first time around.

They need high quality, low cast relief pitching. Send them Chaz Roe and Jason Garcia for Cespedes. Replace Roe with Mychal Givens.

They may consider something like Wright, Givens and Lough. I don't think Roe or Garcia have much, if any, trade value.

You've won me over. If I ever own a team I'm only hiring aged former execs who have been out of the game for a decade. No joking. There's some kind of powerful juju there.

Duquette even managed to turn Drungo from 90% :drungo: to 90% :hearts::notworthy::disco::clap:

Some day, you will look back upon today as a significant one. A day to celebrate the passage. From youthful dreamer, to man of the mountain.

I'd restrict my hiring to folks on internet message boards since we obviously know more then the folks currently in charge.

I never said I knew more than Preller. Just that Dan does. And Andy did. And John Hart does. And Theo Epstein does.

I'm on my way. With two young kids that will be starting their trek down the road of fandom in the coming years I'm sure I'll be reverting to "give me a fun season to follow and I'm not going to sweat the details" mode. The question is, will they be Orioles fans? :D Brewers? :) Nats? :o Cubs? :scratchchinhmm: Red Sox?

You know what? A lot of good guys are massive failures their first or second times in the big chair.

I see you as more of a special assistant role -- basically, you get to tell the GM he's an idiot when behind closed doors.
