Will the Gausman Yo-Yo Continue? Time has come to move Bud from the rotation.

I have been a big supporter of Bud, he's a bulldog. I supported Buck giving him the benefit of the doubt.

The time has come for Gausman to be in the rotation. Bud to the bullpen.

Are we trying to win or not hurt people's feelings?

Maybe. Looks like they have developed him fine to me.

Looks like the yo-yoing didn't hurt him much and at sounds like they may be about done with Norris at this point ...at least as a starter. I don't know if that means they option Gausman after tonight or not.

Of course, if Gausman had pitched poorly tonight we'd have never heard the end that it was because the Orioles are screwing him over.

And see, I don't worry about the many. If I am disagreed with. I'm with you on this.

If we're serious about this season, Gausman needs to start until he shows he shouldn't. Two good starts in a row while Bud is faltering. We've paid Bud half his salary at this point; bite the bullet and put him in the pen.

it does sound like that is what the plan is. It's possible he may still be optioned after tonight though. That taking into account the short term roster crunch and AS break.

I've resisted this move for three months, but Gausman made his closing argument tonight and it was very convincing.

"Buck going on hike in the country w/ Bud, reportedly very rough terrain." :scratchchinhmm:

Buck Presser sounded like Gausman stays in the rotation. Bud to the pen. And Schoop come back to take over 2B. That means Reimold or Pearce are probably going.

I'm assuming Schoop will agree to extend his rehab assignment through the weekend and be called up Monday to take Reimold's place while Nolan is on paternity leave. If that's how things go, a move will need to be made before the Nationals series that begins next Friday. That's when the schedule gets broken up.

- 3 games vs. Gnats

- 4 days off for ASG

- 3 games vs. Tigers

- 1 day off

With all the days off, I would think they'd option a starter, rather than a position player, before Gnats series to get some work in and not bring him back until the Yankee series begins on 7/21. That's when a move will need to be made about a position player.

Sounds like what Buck would do. I think they will only need 4 starters until the 25th. Now who is optioned. Chen, Gonzo or Gausman?
