I have to think there is just a bit of rules skirting going on when guys opt out then sign with a new team within hours.

I suspect that the opt outs they sign these days give their agents the opportunity to see if anyone is interested before they opt out.

I think it would have to be worded like Reimold's if that were the case.

My guess is that both sides do a bit of fishing and come to an understanding. Just the stakes are so small no one worries about it.
