The fifth-highest ratings out of the 29 MLB teams in the US. With a 5.67 rating, the Orioles trail only the Royals, Cardinals, Pirates, and Tigers.

More than double the Washington team ratings.

While the Orioles continue to have better local ratings than the Nats, you have to wonder why the O's ratings are flat from last year, whereas the Nats are up 41%. Nats' attendance is also up about 8% this year, whereas the O's are down, and even without the effect of the riots, would only be slightly up.

Meanwhile, look at the boost the Royals got! Their fan base is going nuts.

I think it would take a World Series appearance to get the Orioles' attendance any higher. This playoff stuff is old hat, apparently.

I guess I shouldn't be complaining, when the TV ratings are 5th highest of any MLB team in the US. That obviously shows our fan base is engaged.

i have been to a few Nationals games and the fans seem more into the game this year then ever. They used to just sit on their hands and mostly eat. The Phillies and Braves and Cubs fans used to drown the Nats fans out. Not this year. I also noticed more Nats fans at the series in Baltimore. Be interesting to see when they play in Washignton in September. Being a weekday series I don't think it will be as many O's fans.
