"It won't take long to play this 3-to-2 game."

A little action, Pete?

Came looking for a thread on this. He's been a nightmare on the telecast so far. Trying to say he didn't slam into Fosse, that it was only his leg onto his shoulder as he was trying to slide...

He's probably lying again (not surprisingly.)

In the past, he said that the reason why he crashed into Fosse was that he would never have been able to look his father in the eye again, his father being such a judgmental, hard-noised person himself.

He (Rose) also said that if he had slid, he might have wound up breaking his own arm or his own neck ...... hence, he had "no choice" but to crash into Fosse.

Pretty sure he is incapable of telling the truth.

Not watching it, did they ask him about the evidence of him betting on games as a player?

Not yet. The crowd did chant "Let Him In" for five minutes after he was introduced on field as the Ultimate Reds "Franchise Four" member.

Of course he did.

Everyone knows what this is right?

X-ray of a corked bat?

Just saw this thread. Pete was a disaster at the end. Practically trying to pick a fight with Frank Thomas. Like rudely challenging everything Frank said.

Rose is in my books, as all-time scumbag of the MLB and that's a crappy title to have.

I think the title still goes to Hal Chase, who was probably involved in actually throwing dozens of games in the 1910s before finally being told to never come back. But Rose certainly is in the top five or ten, along with several Black Sox, the Louisville guys from 1877, and maybe Dick Higham (the only umpire ever banned for life).

Carl Mays allegedly threw games, if you think he was throwing at Chapman intentionally that should be enough to put him on the list.
