Steve Wilkerson Deserves a Promotion

Wilkerson has put together a nice season for the Shorebirds but has received little attention likely due to his status as a 23 year old with four season of college baseball experience at Clemson under his belt. He's expected to perform well in the SALLY league. That being said, a .312/.401/.403 slash line is certainly nothing to scoff at and definitely warrants promotion to a more challenging level of baseball. Hopefully, Wilkerson gets his chance soon because he has nothing left to prove with the Shorebirds.

I think getting hurt slowed down his promotion track a bit. But that shouldn't be an issue now. There's enough AB's to go around the Key's IF even with Kemp, and Marin there. One can play third.
