If Toronto gets Price that would blow Weams' contention that they can't take on salary, through the roof. Price is on a 19.5M salary this year. Even half of that is a lot.

The Jays do seem to be all in so this wouldn't surprise me. Daniel Norris to the Tigers?

How much cash and who sent the cash? I think this is one way of looking at it. They got rid of Harrison's contract.

Harrison's contract's the main offset. I've read $9.5M for the cash consideration from Philly to Tex in the deal.

I feel like Preller's the guy sitting in a fantasy draft room waiting for his turn. The guys who got Hamels and Price had the top picks, and now the Shields/Cashner/Ross/Kennedy fun begins. Dodgers, Giants, Yankees and Cubs systems stay untapped.
