Yes, Miller was absolutely great for the O's. And in the end it didn't matter. They still got swept out of the ALCS. So... what is your take on the guys they apparently gave up for Price?

I am not sure what the whole package is. I think Norris alone is an overpay.

That said, I am less offended by this type of overpay (like the Rangers overpay last night) when it's an organization that has been pouring efforts into accruing as much minor league development talent as possible. When you do that, I think you are much better positioned to continue to adjust and be competitive if your bold moves fall flat.

But, in a vacuum, this kind of package hurts for 1/3 of a season's worth of production. Looking ahead, the org really seems to be banking on Stroman coming back strong.

I have completely given up on Bundy but still have hope for Harvey. Are you optimistic?

Not until I see either of them healthy and throwing again. Feel same way about Fried -- loved the stuff but it's now almost two years since I've seen him throw in a meaningful game. If worst happens and Harvey ends-up needing surgery, misses next year....?

@Ken_Rosenthal: Official: Price from #Tigers to #BlueJays for Norris, Labourt and Boyd.

I guess that is why prospects take such a big hit when they take on an injury. Just never know how they will be when they return. As always, can't have enough pitching prospects.

The Blue Jays are the Washington Redskins of Major League Baseball. They make lots of big flashy moves yet their win-loss record never seems to improve.

Easy now. At least the Skins have made the playoffs a few times since 93.

Anybody can look impossible to beat on paper, until the games are actually played. The Jays have done this shock and awe, wheeling and dealing stuff the last two years, and it's gotten them nowhere. They still have to play the games like everybody else.

Why would the Braves give up Wood to get Olivera? The guy is a 30 year-old in AAA, and you are giving up a 24-year old lefthander that has shown pretty decent promise?

He is a Cuban star that they lost out on this winter and desperately wanted. Desperately. He is not a prospect. He is like Cespedes or Puig.
